A shot of India Malali dosed around 18g in a double basket, bottomless portafilter, 1.5 ounce extraction. I roasted it to the first pops of second crack, which is quite a ways off from a really dark roast on this one since it is a tree-dried full natural coffee. Yes, there is some peanut notes which technically point to defective coffee, but it makes a really tasty SO espresso. Notes of dried plum, dates, mission figs, cloves, black pepper, a little cinnamon, and the sort of citrus-floral undertaste you can get from 75% dark chocolate.
