Research and innovation put to good service of our environment
For some years now our R&D Division has been focusing on products which do not carry an environmental impact. At the root of
this choice is a simple but strong consideration: the awareness that the problem of energy consumption does not only touch the
pocket of the operator who pays the bill, but involves all of us against a background of a global scenario in which energy sources
are diminishing while the “price to pay” is increasing.
That is how Plus 4 You was born in 2007, the first machine that can give energy savings ranging from 30% up to 47.6%.

A line of machines which make you save: a choice
The green project from Astoria continues and goes from strength to strength: this is how the Green Line project takes off, the first
line of machines to be put onto the market with a guaranteed energy saving.
Each Astoria Green Line product will be identifiable with a special mark which will allow customers to choose fully aware and with
ease a product which gives them the benefits of energy saving, thus contributing towards the protection of our environment and
making the energy bill “lighter”.

Reducing waste: a Company philosophy
The direction which our Company has taken is part of a vaster strategic project which includes all the manufacturing phases:
the production facilities are, in fact, based on the “lean manufacturing” system, an advanced industrial philosophy which aims at
reducing waste in general and of any type it may be.
The production process is thus arranged so as to reduce as much as possible the complexities of production, while pursuing
flexibility: this has enabled our Company to obtain a rationalization of production fluxes as well as of machine assembly processes,
in addition to a great increase in productivity thanks to a general greater efficiency
