Dancing Goats was fortunate enough to win the bidding on two auction lots of this Panamanian Geisha coffee, Esmerelda Especial from Boquete.

Grown at 1700 m above sea level, this varietal won best of Panama from 2004 to 2007 and the SCAA Pavilion from 2005 through 2007.

At $3.34 per ounce, this coffee had better be decent. I'll let you guys know what I think.

I can save some for my return to Athens. Anyone want to share a chemex?

Tastes like whiskey Cavendish pipe tobacco, silk, sweet, smooth. Best coffee? God in a cup? Nah. But it is good.
