Trabant Chalkboard - Transient Chalkboard Art #2

a great photo of the 2nd incarnation of our Clover machine that I did in pastel.

I enjoy pastel work in all forms; however, on our sidewalk A-frame one contemplates the passage of time (and maybe even life itself) through the image's inevitable destruction as the weather washes it away - to reveal a new surface ready for creative input. Indeed; to accept a piece of a life?

And if you look carefully, you can see where some rain drops have already left their marks. :)

have you found any way to preserve your work here in the rainy city? i once tried putting plastic wrap over our chalkboard a-frame, but that just looked really trashy. maybe an alcohol-soluble but not water-soluble spray-on lacquer?
