Is anyone using a Zojirushi water heater?  Our cafe needs a good (but inexpensive) water heater that we can use to start serving pour over coffee.  The machine we have now is only heating the water to about 160 degrees.  Just looking for ideas and/or feedback on Zojirushi.

Sarah,

I use a Zojirushi Cv-DSC40 at home. It is great for me, keeps water at 208 and ready to brew. There are a few drawbacks if you plan to use it in a shop. First, you can only do a few pour-overs before needing to refill the tank. Once you refill, it takes a few minutes to return to temp. It also dispenses rather slowly. It's not bad at home, but will slow you down a little in a shop. I have yet to use a thermometer to gauge the temp of the water as I pour, so I can't speak to heat loss or anything from the starting point of 208 in the tank.

How many coffees do you anticipate serving per hour? I use a fetco hot water tower at work and it keeps up with any volume we do. You could always start with the Zojirushi and take it home after you upgrade when it doesn't keep up;)
