Hey all, so I know this is kind of a broad topic of discussion, so I'll try to preface a bit.

I was recently handed the position of head barista/coffee program manager at a rapidly growing chain of shops (Coffee Bar SF), and with that I get some travel time up to Portland. I've held down similar positions before so I'm not necessarily new to training baristas, but it might help give an idea of what I'm looking for.

I found this quick tip floating around, which seems pretty useful,

http://www.coffeetalk.com/april12-scaa/

and this list of shops to visit in Portland,

Any other tips from veteran Event/Portland goers on how to get the most out of the experience, both in the expo and city? Any thoughts at all are much appreciated, thanks much!

Cheers,

Harold

I'm curious as well. Thanks for floating that must-visit-shops thread, btw... gonna be pulling that up this afternoon.
