Don't know if you realize what a bad joke Charbucks "Blond Roast" really is. If you do some research you'll find their Roast Master defines it as "At 2nd Pop". Virtually anyone who's serious about roasting considers start of 2nd the beginning of dark roasting. By comparison to the Charbucks lightest "Blond Roast" I roast our Sumatra to the start of 2nd 452f and Sulawesi 446f 6f lighter! At best their "Blond" around Sula 446f level where 2nd just barely starts AFTER leaving the roasting drum as it hits the cooling tray.

Prior to the boobs at Charbucks using the term calling their dark medium (at best) roast a blond roast the term was accepted in real roasting circles to mean a truly light roast, 1st crack barely finished, a good 30f plus lighter than their marketing hype crap "Blond Roast". Truly disgusting in it's misinformation about roasting "Specialty Coffee."

Charbucks: marketing greatness paired with coffee derelicts. Couldn't stand them from my first trying the 1st Charbucks to invade Clark County many years ago and my opinion of them only gets worse with such roast level garbage nonsense. All offense to the Mermaid intended!

Don't know why, but today it really ticks me off. :-)
