Steam power pressure and water leakage, how does it influence froth?

Dear Bxers,

I've been using VBM Lollo single group for sometime now. The problem i'm facing is not having enough steam power to get a great froth. I'm able to make decent froth, but need to be careful not to aerate too much since the "pushing" power isn't enough to break the micro bubbles well. When I use big machines like Aurelia/LM, with 2 or 3 group head that has great steam power, I can make better froth (smoother and more when i want to). This makes me wonder...

1. Is it my technique that caused this, or we will need a machine that is good enough to produce good steam power to get great froth?

2. If steam wand leaks water after purging, how does it affect the froth?

Mental blocked here, help~!!
