I have a 2 group La Marzocco with Rechargeable water softner.
I'm looking for tips on how to best recharge or flush my rechargeable water softener.
I'm having difficulty finding espresso machine servicing and need any Do-it-yourself tips that I can get.
Thanks in advance.

It's really pretty easy

Get some salt (the water softener stuff at the hardware store)
the top valve is the in the bottom is the out
turn off your espresso machine
turn the in valve to off
turn the our valve to flow into the floor drain and let the water that is in the filer out.
Remove the cap on the top of the filer
Add salt then clean the gasket and replace the top
Open the in valve and flush all the salt out of the filer this can take 30-45 minutes.
Taste the water to make sure it's not salty
Turn the out valve to flow to the machine
Turn back on your machine

Hope this is helpful.
Use ordinary salt. Typically, you use 1 cup for most espresso machine softeners. After adding the salt, you need to wait 45 minutes to an hour to allow the re-charging to occur, without the wait, your water is never being softened. Flush as recommended until not salty.
