So this is how it is, Mercanta have an exclusivity agreement with a certain roastery in Cape Town, South Africa and will not supply anybody else in the country of 50 odd million people. They are doing around 3 tonnes a month and have been open for 2 years. Mercantas excuse is that they do this for all developing countries....fine, thats cool but who do I buy mixed pallets from at the same prices? I have asked everybody from Colonel John Saunders, David Makin, Klaus T, and Emily Oak! What the f. do I do? This has forced me into another avenue that I like but is not as consistent.
