Hello,

As we get ready to start our new shop in Downtown Peoria, IL we are considering several FAQ's that we might receive.  One that just came up is what a good home coffee brewer to recommend was.   Being that we are all are coffee nerds and would be considered home baristas I don't even use a home brewer. We all make pour-over's, french press, vac pots at home.  However most of our clientel will not take the time to do this every morning. So....

Does anyone have any suggestions on good quality home brewing systems for airpot coffee at home?

Unless your clientèle are willing to purchase a Bunn, Fetco, Curtis or Grindmaster system, they will not necessarily get the same quality coffee that we can get in our shops.  I believe that what customers want, when they are brewing coffee at home, is to replicate the quality that they get at our coffee shops. That is why they purchase our beans rather than nescafe or folgers.

Educating customers that using a press can be as convenient as steeping tea, and remarkably inexpensive in comparison to something like a drip brewer. Even an aerobie or an espro press are very affordable and give fantastic results.

I am truly sorry I cannot offer a better answer for your FAQ.
