My brother is getting married in Brazil this coming summer 09 and since I'm flying there for the wedding anyhow I was thinking of looking for work coffee farming for a month or two, hoping to familiarize myself with the process.
I'm looking for a farm that participates in as much fair-trade as possible.
Does anyone know of any resources I could look into in order to find something that might be right for me, or anyone in particular I might speak with regarding this endeavor...
Update -- I'm looking to find contacts with the following farmer cooperatives - unipcafem, pronova, coopfam, coocaminas
If anyone is familiar with any of these cooperatives or with member farmers within any, I would very much appreciate insight or perhaps contact information in order to gauge my likelihood of finding work opportunity
