Has this product been dropped from the line at Hario? I can't find it on their website, and a few stores that show it are all out of stock. Wassup wit dat?

Supposedly, some Japenese coffee company bought Hario's entire stock to open multiple siphon bars around the country. Heard it from a tweet by coffeegeek.
Jeremiah,

Not true. The company, UCC, makes their own in- counter burners, what they did buy was a butt-load of brewers (about 12,000) for several planned stores. Which is honestly a drop in the bucket in terms of Hario's siphon brewer sales.

As the only authorized US importer of the Hario burners, I can say it is a quality/safety issue. Hario, is not (if you didn't know) the base manufacturer, and there is a problem with one of the components supplied by a third party. Until this is resolved to everyone's satisfaction, there will not be a full production run.

We're doing what we can, but they all have twenty to fifty other items they manufacture themselvess, and their own time schedule.

All I can say is be patient. :)
