I have an EP tamper w/ a bocote handle.  Today, I'm noticing that the handle isn't staying totally screwed into the tamper bottom.  Does anyone else have issues like this? I'm trying to decide if I should keep investing in them or stick with my trusty Rattleware tampers.

What did EP have to say about the problem you're having with their tamper?

Not sure what's going on with RW tampers lately, but I've seen several that had the threaded part of the handle crack off. I'm talking about the brushed stainless piston with the hard black plastic handles. We've had one in use on bar for years, but it looks a little different than the current ones. The new ones have a visible parting line on the handle, feel cheaper, and appear to be made from a different resin. Not sure if they switched resins, manufacturing plants, or both, but I'm reluctant to recommend them at this point.
Perhaps you dropped it.
