Hi all
I posted last week about half caff - now looking into finding some beans that are naturally a bit lower in caffeine than regular beans - does anyone know any varieties or roasts that are? Thanks y'all...

I know PT's coffee has a brazilian bean that's low caff. From what I understand, it was engineered that way.
The high grown varietals will have slightly (to much if you distinguish between aribica and robusta) less caffeine than lower grown varietals. Caffeine is produced in the plant as a natural pesticide. Therefor, varietals that have evolved in higher regions with less pests have less caffeine. Low grown has more pest, thus,.... However, coffee should be chosen based on quality of taste, not caffeine content. If you are in need of quality coffee with less caffeine, I recommend smaller portions of really good coffee.

There are coffees that are decaffeinated to a higher standard,... but that is for a nother discussion.
note: darker roasts have slightly less caffeine, than the same bean roasted lighter.
