We've discussed this here a couple of times... my impression is that most people are aware of it, though few have tried it.

Here's a link to the most recent discussion on it.

I have very little interest in trying it myself, too much hype for me. I know its supposed to be very smooth and delicious, but I can think of several very smooth and delicious coffees that can be purchased for $7-10 per pound (wholesale) in reasonable quantities. I think I'll stick with them.

Look, when I pay an extremely high price for a coffee, I will do it because the quality of the cup justifies the expense. It just doesn't seem like the quality of the coffee is driving the price of Luwak.

That's my thought on the subject. I've heard that some people love it, so to each his own...
I luwak my own coffee. Sure, it takes a couple of weeks to process enough green for a cup or two, but man! The results are sooo worth it!
