Hey folks,

The Best of Panama auction is tomorrow, which may or may not be of interest in and of itself, but I'm starting this thread because I think many of you might be interested in checking out the scores, notes and, in some cases, cupping forms submitted for the coffees. If you haven't done much formal cupping, the forms give you a sense of how a coffee is scored (broken down by acidity, body, etc.). The notes also just provide a cool peek into how some relatively heavy hitters/buyers in specialty coffee make sense of what they taste.

One of the more interesting things, I thought, is how a few of the coffees were scored 90+ by some folks while being given basement scores by others. Usually such discrepancies would be attributed to a specific defect (quaker, etc.) appearing in one of the cups, but I don't think that this is the case here--some people just didn't like a particular coffee (or thought the flavor profiles were "defective" overall). Of course, there are also some coffees that everyone loved.
