come on, seriously, youre telling me there is no reputable school here? nyc has just about everything the world has to offer, but no barista school????? maybe there is a coffee "guru" somewhere in nyc giving who is under the public radar? i need to learn the ins and outs of coffee, but i have a day job that i cant leave now. so classroom experience is the only way i can go now.

I would trust her training, and at the very least she is someone good to know if you are in the NYC area. Intelli just opened a training lab as well, and Counter Culture may do workshops in that area from time to time. I know those are company specific trainings, but in many cases they are led by the same people that do SCAA trainings.
