Anyone who's been considering adding the Tristar LED lights sold at a prominent espresso parts dealer but have put it off do to the cost just found them on sale at another sight. Exact same lights currently on sale $16.95 each, http://www.theledlight.com/LEDTriCluster.html,
SC Back Mount LED Landscape Lights. Same rated AC/DC 12v transformer $27.25  http://www.theledlight.com/transformers.html  Transformer #1.5-A - 1.5 Amp, 22 Watt IP67 rated for dry, wet, or damp location. (FWIW it'll handle up to 20 of these lights just in case you go nuts)
So for example three light sets and xformer for 2 group (or 4 group no outside the groups light) only $78.10 instead of $150! Yup, 3 xformers and bunch of lights for our 3gr and two 4gr Lineas on the way :)

Post pics when done!
FWIW have discussed it and plan to wire through an A/B toggle switch for two methods of operation: always on like if want better light for cleaning, and only on when pump motor running. Down the road I swear I'll also add an exterior red LED "Your Shot Pulling Now" sign or maybe an exterior window "Shot Pulling Now" sign... Or not... might be getting carried away with silliness :)

Might be.

You could also rig up a small video camera to display the shot as it is being pulled on a monitor... or start the Jeopardy song while the shot pulls... or...or...or. ;-)  I suppose anything is possible.  But it would also be pretty cool.  If you are spending a good chunk of your life there anyway why not make it fun?!

Uh funny you should mention that. Bry (or was it Ryan) already already brought up the video and flatscreen idea. Bit more expense involved, especially for currently 3 locations. But, one never knows what the future may hold!

"or start the Jeopardy song while the shot pulls..."

I think this is a great idea, but a word of caution...

You will be responsible for paying a fee every time you use the music. ASCAP (or some other music rights company) will be banging on your door to collect, plus huge fines and bad publicity.

I don't have any relationship with ASCAP, or the music rights business.

"the oldest guy at your party"

trivia question - Who wrote the music for the Jeopardy theme?

Answer - Composer Henry Mancini

Wouldn't use Jeopardy song anyway. Maybe theme from 2001 a Space Oddessy :)

Mike,

Choice of music is personal, and might be fun to change at different times (morning, afternoon, evening) or different days.

Royalty payments for use of music would still be an issue.

No need to repeat the obvious...
