I just read the discussion at http://www.baristaexchange.com/forum/topics/devleloping-ones-palate.  Good suggestions for working on your palate.

I'd like to take a very systematic approach to training my palate at home.  I'm wondering if there are any formalized systems out there, printed materials, guided journals/courses, etc.

I'm also wondering if there are any sources to order small quantities of several different coffees, a "sampler pack" so to speak, to do side by side tastings.
