James, I think my bro-in-law actually has been to Crossroad Cafe a few times. He spent a couple years in Guatemala as a missionary, working with Mennonite Air Missions. I live in Waynesboro GA, just a little ways up the highway from you. If I plan an anniversary trip to Savannah with my wife, would I be able to see your roastery, or perhaps could you recommend a shop to visit?

Did you make Indonesia on your trip?? I guess not if you did not tack on OZ and NZ (not necessarily as an afterthought!!). My 25kg drum originally came from a roaster just outside Antigua

Thanx so much for the info. I checked out the website...it says costs is over $3k for 20 days. Were you able to negotiate a better rate with him, or is he open to allowing people to work it off or exchange skills/expertise?

Hey James,
How did you land your roasting apprenticeship w/ Crossroads? I'd like to open a roaster/retail shop but only have home roasting experience. It seems hard to find a temporary apprenticeship in roasting. Would welcome any suggestions you may have.

Best.
