If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
yes
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I have a strong background in tastings and seminars. I have worked in cafes as a barista, supervisor, and most recently, manager. Recently I have developed strong latte art skills and currently find myself delving into the realm of 'specialty' drinks (ie contrasting flavors, temperatures, and textures, while still maintaining balance and coffee emphasis.)
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
New York
About Me:
I started by Barista career at Starbucks in 2003 in a brand new store. Over the years I had 2 different "home" stores in Illinois and then transfered to the busiest Starbucks in San Francisco, while working up to Supervisor. I later found a barista position at the Fairmont Hotel in a coffeeshop they opened to celebrate their 100th anniversary. I have been a sort of "lead barista" there training my colleagues in proper coffee preparation, and slowly, they are also learning latte art.
About My Company:
Caffe Cento is a year old caffe. Leaning a bit towards the more traditional european style coffee. Right now we are pushing to become recognized for making espresso drinks and to incorporate a sustainable and green environment.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
