Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.

Cool Beans is a mobile coffee shop built around a Rancilio Epoca DE 2-group and kitchen. In addition to coffee's, we also serve tea's, Italian Soda's and Panini's for breakfast and lunch.

The only barista skills I have come from my home machine until I purchased the Epoca. I have been studying using the training products offered by Bellisimo, but understand that there is no substitute for experience. For that reason, I have joined barista exchange in the hopes of learning from others and gaining more insight on the coffee business.

What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?

After a Navy career, living in Japan and traveling most of the world, none really. I would like to revisit some cities at some point, but just enjoying not having to travel for the time being.

About Me:

Currently a disillusioned defense contractor. I decided to open Cool Beans to give myself an opportunity to leave the defense industry behind, do something that I would enjoy that I believe also offers a reasonable change of success if done right.

About My Company:

Cool Beans is a new venture for me that is just getting off the ground. It takes advantage of a somewhat captive customer base in my area whose only coffee options are McDonalds and convenience stores. With thousands of military and defense contractors, I hope to be successful by providing them with quality coffee and food that pretty much comes to their office door.

What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?

Coffee would be the simple answer!
