Just wanted to let everybody know that I have started a new coffee blog Havespoonwilltravel.tumblr.com. It's brand new so there is some remedial stuff I'm getting through right now but I'd appreciate it if you guys checked it out and would welcome any feed back. Also I'm also the primary contributed to the Topeca coffee educational blog topecacoffee.blogspot.com.
I dug your blog. Thanks for posting the link. Also, thanks for the thoughtful article on defined espresso names. We have a long way to go in terms of marketing and defining to catch up with the wine and beer industry. But it may not take as long as we think. A few years ago, beer was Miller or Budweiser, genuine draft or lite. When I started drinking beer, I sampled most of the microbrew spectrum before ever having my first Budweiser, and then only because I was at a ball game and that's all they had. Simple definitions could help, though my brain is reeling with how to even begin to categorize them. I really liked your idea of a simple and standardized roasting descriptor in particular. My friend, Bryan, and I have started a coffee related tumblr blog too. You might want to check it out: www.thecoffeedudes.com.
