A paddle group is where the volumetric 'push' buttons shown in the main pic for this group are replaced with a left-right manual 'paddle switch', in some ways like a traditional lever. A few of these are simple 'on/off' switches, a few are Off-->Preinfusion-->On and a few are Off-->Variable Pressure Pre-->On. The new La Marzocco Hydra is Off-->Variable Pressure, which makes it a pretty exciting development, but expect a big queue when these are finally released. What makes it better: less reliance on electronics & ability to control preinfusion.

Ok, I need help with some basic machine engineering.
Single boiler/double boiler, I got this part down but would someone explain for me what a paddle group is and what makes it better or ....?
