The bus and lightrail system is actually pretty good, stuff is all pretty close though. Like your friend, i live near pablo's (6blks north) and i pretty much walk everywhere. The bike thing is a good idea though, i'm sure there are places that rent them as it is really popular.

Yea, I'm hoping to get to these places somehow. Obviously I can do the ones within walking distance and I can walk upwards of 6 miles or more but other than that I'll find a bus or something to bring me to the other ones if they are further than my walking range. I'm wondering how much it would cost to bring my bike with me to tour around the city with or if anyone knows a place I can rent one downtown for the days I'm there.
Sweet! Thanks. I'm a vegetarian and love anything vegan as well so I will for sure try the pastries. And thanks for the other info, I will have some free time in the mornings while my friend is at work and she lives only a half mile from downtown denver so I will have time to venture!
(be sure to try the BeetBox vegan pastries, even if you're not vegan they are incredible!) Stella's is in south denver and serves Pablo's but has a really different feel, they also do live music every weekend. if you want the weirdest coffee shop experience hit up Paris on the Platte, denver's first coffee house. Don't expect amazing coffee, but the experience (and food) are worth it. Leela's is also a good 24 hour option.
