I have a lightly used IR-3 with afterburner fro sale. Perfect machine for retail operation, small wholesale and sample roasting. It is located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Both pieces are reddish burgandy in color. As opposed to the new model IR-2.5 this one sits on its own stand. I need $14,500.00 for both. At this point I do not plan on separating unless someone wants the afterburner first. Please review the pictures and email if you have any questions.…

I'm roasting on my Diedrich IR 12 and I can't seem to get the bottom out temperature above 170, no matter what I do.

Today with a 21# batch I upped the drop temp to 460 and had almost full gas (6 WC) for the first minute until backing off a bit, and I was still in the high 160s. ...Anyone else find a way to get the bottom out temperature up closer to 180 ish. I feel like the hill to climb from 165 is too steep.

After a year and a half on my beloved Diedrich IR-3 the time has come to move up to a larger roaster and sell the IR-3, oxidizer and stack. I bought the roaster from Jon at Cultiva Coffee and we both treated her well, now she needs a new home.

I've been roasting on my Deidrich IR-3 for about a year now with wonderful (and sometimes not so wonderful) results. Any IR-3 owners out there want to chime in on what works and what doesn't for different coffees? With a 6 lb. load I'm averaging about 14-15 minute roast times, with 1st crack around 10:30- 12:00 depending on the profile, dumping anywhere from 430-460. Any crazy ideas or suggestions for profile refinements would be splendid! My cupping spoon awaits..
