About Me:
My fiancee and I moved to Portland in June '07. I am currently going to school to get my degree in Math. I got a job at World Cup Coffee about a week after we moved up here. I started learning latte art from the other baristas and slowly but surely started getting more into the 'coffee sciences.'

Thanks Dude! I am pretty proud of how it turned out. Thought alot about the ability to have the coffees that are in it available anf fresh year after year and what I wanted it to taste like. This is the result. You should try pulling a shot with a naked portafilter. It's freakin beautiful!

I am not entirely sure where to begin. How about you take a day while you're at work and come up with some specific questions and perhaps I can start answering those for you. I would say the most important thing to start with though is making sure that you have perfect milk texture which it seems like from a few of these photos that you are producing consistently. The perfect milk texture will compliment and sometimes save an average cup of coffee. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hey man! I've been really busy here at work. The coffee "C" market has been up and down and so I've been doing as much research as I can in order to buy the right coffees and still save some dough.

Yes I competed at the Western Regional in Portland when there was such a thing as "NASCORE" but that is ancient history. As a judge of these events, I'm no longer allowed to compete... but... maybe one day! : )

Hey Matt. I just joined into this craziness. The official Portland competition already happened (at Coffee Fest Seattle - the NWRBC). There won't be another regional in the NW until fall 2008. One good piece of info is that the 2009 USBC will be in...... PORTLAND!!!!!

There are some things in the works in Portland, but not a regional/USBC format competition until the fall.

Let me know if you have any questions though. Happy to answer all competition related stuff!
