About Me:
My mum says I was ruined, as far as coffee was concerned, after two years in Europe. Only the best would do after that. So five yeas ago, while on sabbatical from New Zealand in 1999, I found Caravan Coffee. It revealed my latent passion for great coffee. Now, after years of roasting for Caravan Coffee, there may be only one thing I enjoy more than seeking the perfect roast on our 25lb San Franciscan roasters: drinking a "flat white" Tigertail with my two children and wife, Rachel.

Paul,
I think that RFA and Fair Trade are good IDEAS. I am curious, especially with the fto price increase, where this money is truly going I think that both organisations have some more work to do as far as trasparency goes. Really, the best way is to work with brokers that go to the source and know the farmers and co op managers and can attest to their sustainability. That's my opinion.

Hey Paul,
Missed Brazil this year, but there is a good chance I'll be in Hawaii soon to do some coffee stuff. I have never been there!
Please write a report about New Zealand! I want to learn more.

Hey Paul, how have you been? If you're as busy as I am you're tired and ready for summer. We need to get together soon and do some cupping!
