Hey Everyone!

It's great to be a part of the forum.

I wanted to let you know that we have designed a portable coffee brewing mug, soon to be launched on Indiegogo. I really wanted to source your feedback and what you think about our mug.

Here is a link to a video about our device: https://youtu.be/A3cS3tMjy14

We will be launching in about a month. If you'd like to sign up, we are currently giving away 30% off already discounted Indiegogo price. Leave your email address and we will be in touch! Link: http://www.thejoltcoffee.com

Looking forward to what everyone thinks!

Thanks in advance for your feedback. It is really invaluable, we are really trying to make this something people could benefit from.

Let me know what you guys think! Thank you in advance!

Hey,

First thoughts that come to my mind:

1. How big is that mug? It looks pretty huge in the hands of the people.

2. How much coffee does it fit?

3. How long are you supposed to leave the coffee inside the water? Because if you leave it for too long it will overextract and it will taste pretty bad.

4. Do you drink straight from the mug?

5. How does it charge and how long do the batteries last?

You asked for feedback, those are my first questions. To be quite honest, I have a french press style mug by Bodum and if I've used it 10 times it's too much. I use it often just as a mug, not so much as a way to prepare the coffee.

Cheers,

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Thank you very much for your reply.

The mug right now hold 10oz of coffee. The idea is that dimensions change (become smaller) as we design for manufacturing. Parts are custom made and as we move towards this stage we will be able to make them smaller.

In terms of leaving the coffee in, typically as in french press around 4 minutes is where the sweet spot is, at that point we would rec you remove the grinds and enjoy your brew. You can at that point add condiments (if you wish) and drink from the mug!

Batteries in current state last two brews. Current charging takes about an hour and a half, which will change during our next stage. The idea is that you can brew off the wall cord as well.

Looking forward to see your further comments.

Thanks!
