Hello,

Does anyone have experience with moisture meters?  I've used the cylinder style in the past with good results but wanted to compare accuracy with the probe style.

The probe style models are generally half the price, so economics come in to play.

Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Chad

I was recently discussing this very topic with a good friend of mine who's much more knowledgable than me regarding this. I was about to plop down the $300 for the small, black portable moisture tester when he told me that it wasn't very consistent. That it was a waste of money to spend it on an inconsistent tester. Better to spend a bit more on an accurate and consistent tester, like the Shore 920. It's about $900 but that's the route I'm going.

Thanks for the reply.
