Scott survives...and passes... the WBC certification workshop

Scott just completed the World Barista Championship Judges Certification course/workshop over the past weekend in Long Beach, California.

Along with 3 other USBC Committee members (Lani Peterson, Holly Bastin & Rob Tuttle), he became 1 of only 12 judges that passed (7 from U.S.) and is now Certified to judge the World Barista Championship held this April 2009 in Atlanta, GA. Thirty judges participated in the two-day course and it was no easy task.

Just to get the "technical judge only" monkey off of his back (he has done both sensory and Head judging too you know....anyway.), Scott decided to attempt to certify as a Sensory judge (you had to pick one or the other...which he didn't want to do, but hey, 2 days was enough for now...).

Scott now done talking in the third person.
