What is your position in the coffee industry?
barista, coffee shop owner, barista trainer, coffee roaster, industry professional, consultant, service tech/repair, supplier, entrepreneur

yes
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
Our concept at Adesso Coffee is to create a space that is welcoming, inviting, friendly and approachable. First and foremost, we
are in the hospitality industry and this is our number one objective.
Our sign says: Adesso- Coffee + Moments. Coming to Adesso isn't just coming in for a cup of coffee, it's coming in for an experience. We view coffee as a culinary expression and not a means of caffeine injection.
With anything that we consume it's vital that we have a connection with the land, the people and the culture that our food comes from. Our aim is to bridge the gap between the producer and the consumer. To be the conduit between those two paradigms. I have been roasting coffee for over 15 years. My goal has always been to highlight the hard work, the beauty and artisanship of the producers; to step aside and simply put them in the spotlight. If someone can taste roast then I have done a
huge disservice to the producer. As a barista I share this same responsibility of representing all their hard work and efforts. As things expand, we plan to further bridge that gap by leading coffee farm tours at the places we source our coffee. Yes, we want to promote the message of crop to cup, but also we want to bring those who cup back to the crop and bring things full circle. Espresso was created in Italy. We intend to honor and uphold Italian espresso culture and also Italian cuisine which is built around seasonality. It's about using what's available around us and making something beautiful. Our espresso menu will be built around this same philosophy. In addition, we plan on offering a Coffee Aperitivo. Aperitivo is a tradition in Italy similar to our happy hour that includes small bites. With our Coffee Aperitivo we will offer a variety of coffee cocktails with a thoughtful pairing of small bites. We also have a learning kitchen in the back for hands on brewing workshops covering a variety of brewing methods and espresso/latte art.
