Welcome barista and film lovers...

My name is Chad, I'm located in Denver, and I'm currently beginning production on a documentary about the barista culture and USBC national competition. With all luck, even on an international level, and this film will reflect the values and character based doc's like Spellbound and Errol Morris's Fast, Cheap and Out of Control.

I recently shot the entire MRBC competition, will be traveling to Milwaukee next weekend, and have a trip booked to SF for the end of month regionals as well. I hope to make it to the Northeast in April, and will assuredly be at the finals in MN this May.

Currently, I am funding the film out of pocket, am looking for investors, and am also starting this discussion to help raise interest and people's involvement along the way to make this film a reality.

It is my hopes to include last years winner Heather Perry in the film, and to follow the regional competitors the best I can all the way to the finals. Though I do want to highlight the Us winner, and follow them to the international level, it is also important to represent the culture and community of baristas and people in the coffee industry. It will not be one dimensional in nature, and I spent two years as a barista at a local shop during film school to pay the bills.

I am passionate about my art form, this film, and the coffee culture and its story I wish to share with the world.

I welcome all of your suggestions, words of wisdom, and any help you wish to extend to make this film a reality. With good fortune, I will be seeing some of you this month at the two regionals, so go forth and spread the word.

Chad

Chad this is awesome! I have been in the industry for about 9 years now. I know a lot of the major players in the industry and know way to much about coffee. I work as a independent consultant. I have managed major chain and independent coffee shops. I am a professional barista and coffee roaster. I am sure I can help. Just let me know what you need and I will try my best
to help.

Best of luck.
