I'm looking at a 1993 Probat L12 Roaster; this machine has its original baring, no afterburner and has been well used / loved over the years.

Any ideas how do one might establish value on such a machine?

Check with a few folks that know the value of these machines. Marty Curtis at Combustion Systems is one very good source. http://www.baristaexchange.com/profile/MartyGCurtis

Another option is to check over at Roastersexchange.com with Dan Jollif.

I have owned a few L12 machines over the years and I would say that if it is is good condition and has been maintained it could go for up to 15,000, but I really couldn't be sure.
