Hi there!

I plan on visiting Guatemala soon for some R&R, and to learn everything about the process of what goes into creating a good bean. I plan to be in the San Marcos/Lake Atitlan/La Laguna area; however, I can expect to travel for coffee.

Does anyone recommend any farms I can visit frequently to learn the in and outs of coffee production?

Also, does anyone else out there want to join me? I plan on going soon (mid march) until about May...

Look forward to hearing from you. Any and all recommendations are greatly appreciated. Also, if there are any places in Guatemala that you would recommend that are also friendly enough to show me whatever they know about brewing, that would be the icing on the cake.

You can stay in Antigua, there are farms right around the city. Also, easy to take day trip to surounding areas. Was just there last month, it was awesome.

Wow! I bet it was a great experience that you had. This type of activity is really nice especially for folks who have interest in roasting.
