I'm exploring my options for installing this mod on some of our Mazzer SJ's. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is there a DIY kit?

The biggest reasons for this would be to eliminate waste and improve dosing consistency between different baristas.

There is actually quite a bit of room under the bottom plate of an SJ for the circuit I built. If you want you can easily install a simple timer under there.

Any questions at all let me know!

A solid state relay and a momentary switch are the most inexpensive way to go!

Or  a used Gralab timer.
