My original title was that i dont like coffee, but that felt like a lie.
I love coffee. I love working with it, reading about it, studying origin but i just cant sit and drink it. Ive been a barista for, altogether, over a year.
Im serious about becoming a great barista, and am on my way. My goal in the next few months is to really develop my palate.
Today I made myself a macchiato and the first drink I gagged. Not because it was a bad macchiato, but my stomach just gets repulsed.
I can sample our brewed coffee and the shots that I pull when I dial in in the morning, but i always spit it out.
Im willing to recognize this problem and am trying to solve it.
Are there any tips on developing a keen palate?
