I have recently launched a website that is designed to instruct home users how to properly (that's a dangerous word :) make espresso drinks.
I have recently launched a website that is designed to instruct home users how to properly (that's a dangerous word :) make espresso drinks. This is a personal project and I both designed the website and filmed myself giving instruction. It has been a significant learning process for me, and I have no formal training in espresso, however I have done a lot of homework and have spent many hours practicing. The targeted user is someone who is getting started or wants to learn the basics using reasonably priced equipment - not professional or experts.

I hope that the pursuit of "home made" espresso is not offensive in this forum, given that many of you are probably owners of coffee shops or professional baristas. That said, I am coming to you for professional critique of the project, if you are interested. I value your feedback in both the technical/experience aspect as well as the techniques shown in the videos.

The link to the website is: http://DIYespressoDrinks.com

Year and a half ago struggled with coming up with a new name and went with Nor'West Coffee. Unfortunately the words "Nor'West Coffee" have challenges search engines wise and even url, had to drop the apostrophy. One of the names I ruled out back then was Compass Coffee because the domain both .com and .net were taken. Compasscoffee.net a consulting firm in the UK and .com still just parked! Recently decided to go with Compass Coffee anyway since already using a compass as part of Nor'West logo and use compasscoffeeroasting.com until we could buy compasscoffee.com.

Wasn't the site that's been being "professionally" worked on for about 6 months on and off (person moved out of area) but rather one Bry and I have been feverishly working on building the past week. Who knew you could use free blog site software and customize for a quite respectable website!

I'm not sure if anybody is willing to give up any ideas on this one! lol But I thought I'd try. I'm starting a new Roaster business here in Canada, and wondering if anybody has any unique ideas for building up Retail locations, online sales, PR, etc.

Hey guys. My south east bike tour is coming up. I will be traveling from Atlanta to Raleigh, NC over the course of several days beginning on 9/16. Cities I plan to stop in are: Athens, Augusta, Columbia, SC, Charlotte, NC, and Raleigh, NC. I'd like to meet as many coffee pros as I can in these cities during this time. Is there anyone interested in being a part of this awesome adventure and lending your insight about coffee and espresso to the viewing/listening internet world?
Please reply ASAP.

Hey guys,
I need some light web design done for our company. Nothing to fancy, just some slick splash pages with hi res pictures and contact info. We just need to put something out there for now, but there could potentially be more work available down the road to build the whole site.
Bonus points for being in New England
Email or personal message me for more info if you're interested.
